In her previous role as the Development Director for the Delta and Golden Triangle Regions at Make-A-Wish Mississippi, Micah demonstrated her innovative approach to philanthropy, achieving a remarkable 110% growth in her portfolio. From orchestrating large fundraising events like the Starkville and Delta Evening of Wishes galas to spearheading small initiatives like Wine & Wishes, Micah's creativity and unwavering commitment were evident. Beyond exceeding development budgets and goals, she provided guidance and coaching to volunteer fundraising chairs, ensuring the success of events and transparent communication of progress.
Before her tenure at Make-A-Wish, Micah excelled as the Senior Community Development Manager at the American Cancer Society, where her dedication to community engagement and leadership development earned her a promotion to a senior role. Her oversight of Relay For Life events and community feeder events showcased her commitment to making a positive impact.
Micah's professional journey is complemented by her personal interests. Outside of work, she finds joy in gardening and stitching, reflecting a well-rounded and fulfilling lifestyle. A proud graduate of The University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, Micah, along with her husband Grant and two daughters, happily resides in Oxford and attends Oxford University United Methodist Church.
